Meet The Team

Meet the team

At The Cleaning Agents, we believe that great service starts with great people. Our local management team leads a dynamic group of over 60 skilled professionals, each bringing unique expertise, perspectives, and energy to our company. With a diverse mix of cultures and backgrounds, our team reflects the rich tapestry of our community and shares a united goal: delivering impeccable cleaning services you can count on.

Together, we’re not just keeping homes and businesses spotless—we’re creating cleaner, healthier spaces for everyone. Meet the dedicated people behind The Cleaning Agents.

Meet the owners

We are a proud Tasmanian family, having moved back to this beautiful state 12 years ago with our two children. Coming from a farming background, we could see potential in forming a service-based business of our own. We purchased Kols Cleaning Services in May 2019, serving commercial clients in Launceston. Then, in September 2022 we purchased Camsas Cleaning Contractors expanding our commercial cleaning operations to also include residential, carpet and window cleaning services. Both businesses were renowned and established cleaning brands, with a rich history, having continuously served customers in Launceston and surrounds for over 50 years.

We have long seen potential in the cleaning industry, not just as a career path but as a vital component in the local economy. We know that people prefer to work in a well-maintained, clean and tidy workplace, and this contributes to improved productivity and overall welfare – which is good for customers and business alike. This philosophy became an explicit reality during the covid-19 pandemic and translates to people’s homes also. We know that satisfying feeling of coming home after a hard day’s work to a freshly cleaned house. This vision has been our inspiration from the beginning.

Our role as owners and directors of the company is primarily to oversee the governance of the business, to ensure the welfare of our staff and the quality of service delivered to our customers. Ultimately, we see our role as enablers. We employ talented and energetic cleaning staff and allow them to thrive and grow. This enables our customers to thrive also.

Family is important to us, and we make sure our team feel part of a wider family within the company also.

Our journey over the last 6 years has been spent modernising and integrating the Kols and Camsas brands under the one business system. A system that can cope with over 400 sites and 65 staff, incorporating rostering, invoicing and payroll into the one platform. We are very proud to say that The Cleaning Agents is the culmination of all that work.

Looking ahead, we have some very exciting projects that will build and add further value to our brand. We have the foundation to expand into other regions of the state and incorporate additional activities into the suite of services we provide. So watch this space!

The Cleaning Agents is different to other cleaning companies in two aspects: firstly, we are locally owned and operated (as opposed to a large corporation managed from a head office in Sydney or Melbourne). Secondly, we have sufficient scale to provide a reliable, uninterrupted service to worksites and residences, which is something smaller cleaning companies or sole traders cannot provide.

Outside our directorships within The Cleaning Agents, our day-to-day roles sees Jim working in the bank and Fiona as a teachers aide at school. Outside of that, we enjoy playing and watching our kids play sport including tennis, football, golf and rowing. We enjoy visiting family on the farm and getting sand between our toes on the beach.

Meet the General Manager

Wayne is a dedicated and versatile leader with a wealth of experience in management, both in the corporate sector and through his service in the British Military. Originally from Essex, UK, Wayne moved to Australia in December 2011, bringing with him a broad skillset and a commitment to excellence that has shaped his successful career. His background in man management, combined with the discipline and strategic mindset honed in the military, has equipped him with a unique approach to leadership—one that emphasises empowerment, collaboration, and sustained performance.

Wayne’s journey into leadership took a significant step forward when he was given the opportunity to become General Manager at Kols & Camsas Cleaning. With his extensive management background, he saw the role as a perfect platform to apply his skills in guiding teams and driving growth. Under his leadership, Wayne has leveraged his innate ability to build strong, motivated teams, foster professional development, and maintain positive, productive client relationships. His focus on creating an environment where individuals can flourish has been key to the company’s success and its ability to consistently exceed expectations.

As the company undergoes a transformative rebranding to become The Cleaning Agents, Wayne is excited to lead the charge toward future growth, all while respecting and preserving the core values and strong foundation established by previous leadership. His vision is one of innovation, where the company continues to evolve and push boundaries, while staying rooted in its foundational principles of service and integrity.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Wayne is also deeply committed to his local community. Outside of work, he is an active player and manager for Launceston City FC, where he not only takes on the responsibility of guiding his team on the field but also serves as a committee member for the club. This role allows him to apply his leadership and organizational skills in a different context, further reinforcing his passion for teamwork, strategy, and community engagement.

Wayne’s life and work are driven by a commitment to people—whether it’s getting the best out of his team at work, nurturing strong client relationships, or supporting his soccer club’s growth. He believes in leading by example, creating environments where individuals are empowered to succeed, and ultimately achieving long-term, sustainable success.
